"Meet the Founders"
The friendship between the two founders of the
Masonic Angel Fund (sm) exemplifies the generational diversity of our
wonderful fraternity called Freemasonry.
John Alden Sherman
| is a direct descendent of Plimoth
Colony founder John Alden. A retired bank president and chairman,
John is deeply dedicated to his work with children. In addition to
serving as a Sunday School teacher for over a decade, Mr. Sherman
was instrumental in bringing the Masonic Child Identification
program to schools in the Lower Cape Cod area back in 1997. He
served as the field coordinator for his local school system's CHIP
program for three years. The Masonic Angel Fund was a direct
outgrowth of John Sherman's experiences with children he interviewed
through the CHIP program.
John served the Foundation as Board President from
2000 to 2009, when he was named President Emeritus. He assists
affiliated Masonic Angel Funds with their school outreach
programs. John runs
a clock repair shop as his avocation. |

Robert W. Fellows
| operates a group of educational
software publishing companies in Orleans, Massachusetts. Former
board president for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the
Islands, Inc., Bob's work with children's causes stretches back over
twenty-five years. An early proponent of the CHIP Masonic video
child identification program, Fellows was instrumental in bringing
CHIP activities into area schools during the regular school day.
Past chairman of education and awareness for the Grand Royal Arch
Chapter of Massachusetts, Bob's extensive work with the York Rite
bodies helped make them early supporters of the Masonic Angel Fund.
After nine years' service as Board Secretary, Fellows became Board
President in 2009. He is responsible for mentoring startup MAF's
and works extensively with the Foundation's partner agencies. |
